The ATT Data Card Won't Connect

1. Remove the AT&T data card and restart the computer. Sometimes the system does not detect all connected hardware on start-up. Once the computer has booted up, insert the AT&T data card into the PCI express card slot on the side of the system.

2. Check the AT&T data card connection. Gently tug on the card to see if there is any give. If the card stays in place you know it is correctly inserted. Additionally, there is a light that appears on the card once it has connected properly to the computer.

3. Install the drivers provided on the driver installation CD. Some computers require these drivers to properly use the hardware. Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the computer, then follow the prompts of the installation wizard that appears on the screen.

4. Select the AT&T data card if you haven't already. The card must be selected in order to connect to the Internet. Right-click the wireless icon in the lower right corner of the desktop, then choose the AT&T data card.

5. Pay your monthly bill on time. If you missed a payment or are late, your AT&T data card service is frozen until the funds are received.
