How to Remove Music From an Android DoubleTwist Phone

Using iTunes and AirSync

1. Double click the iTunes icon to open iTunes on your Mac or PC

2. Click a song to highlight it and press the 'Delete' key if using a Mac. Right click the song or video you wish to delete if using a PC, then select 'Delete' from the pop-up menu.

3. A window appears asking you to confirm whether you want to 'Keep File' or 'Remove to Trash' for Mac. In Windows, it will ask if you want to 'Keep File' or 'Remove to Recycle Bin.' Keeping the file removes it from the playlist, but keeps it on the computer. Removing to trash or the recycle bin sends the file to the trash receptacle, from where you can permanently delete it whenever you wish.

4. Tap the 'applications' icon on the Android phone and tap the doubleTwist icon to open the program.

5. Tap the AirSync icon to resynchronize the iTunes playlist with your phone. The playlist on the phone should no longer show the songs you just deleted from iTunes.

Deleting Songs from the Android Phone

6. Connect your Android phone to your computer with a USB cable, then tap 'disk drive' on your phone to access the phone's SD card.

7. Click the hard drive icon on your computer desktop if you are using a Mac. Windows users should click the 'Libraries' icon on the Taskbar.

8. Click 'Removable Disk' on your computer screen to display the files on the SD card of your Android phone. If you have your music files organized in a specific folder, double click the folder to open it.

9. Click the file you wish to delete, then press the 'Delete' key.

10. Drag the removable disk to the trash to eject it on a Mac. On a Windows PC, right click the removable disk and select 'Eject' from the pop-up menu. Open doubleTwist on the phone and the files you deleted will no longer exist in the playlist.
