How to Use ClockworkMod Recovery

1. Press the 'Power' button and slide the unlock tab down or to the right. Press the 'Home' button.

2. Tap the Application Drawer, then tap 'Market.' Press the 'Search' button. Type 'ROM Manager,' then tap 'Go.'

3. Touch 'ROM Manager.' Tap 'Free,' then 'OK.' Wait for the app to download and install. Slide the notification bar (the white or black bar at the top of the screen) down, then tap 'ROM Manager.' Tap 'OK.'

4. Press 'Flash ClockworkMod Recovery.' Select your phone model. If your Superuser app displays a pop-up menu, tap 'Remember,' then 'Allow.' Tap 'OK.'

5. Tap 'Reboot into Recovery' to shut down your phone and open ClockworkMod. Tap 'OK.' Wait for your phone to reboot into the recovery software.

6. Use the Volume buttons, or navigation trackball to select a menu item, then the 'Center' or 'Camera' button to select it. You can install a standard 'update.zip' file from the homepage, wipe all user data, wipe the cache, install a non-standard Zip file, backup or restore your Android software, or activate USB storage mode from this screen. Do not perform any action without a thorough understanding of the consequences; it's possible to damage your phone's software using ClockworkMod.
