How to Tether an Android to an XBox

Create Android Hotspot

1. Press the menu button on your Android smartphone, then tap 'Settings.'

2. Tap the 'Wireless & networks' item in the Settings list.

3. Tap 'Tethering & portable hotspot.'

4. Check the box next to 'Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.' The wireless hotspot is now enabled on your Android smartphone and, by default, is called 'AndroidAP.'

5. Power your Xbox on.

6. Navigate to the My Xbox section, then open the 'System Settings' menu.

7. Highlight 'Network Settings' and press A.

8. Select the 'AndroidAP' wireless network. Your Xbox will connect to your Android wireless hotspot.
