How to Install Swype on an Android

1. Launch a Web browser and navigate to Beta.swype.com.

2. Click 'Register.'

3. Enter your account registration details and then click 'Submit.'

4. Open the Swype confirmation email on your Android device and tap the download link found within the message body to download the Swype installation package.

5. Tap 'Swype-Installer.apk' after the download is finished to open the installation package.

6. Tap 'Settings,' if prompted, and then tap the 'Unknown Sources' check box to enable installation of files from outside of the Android Market.

7. Tap 'Install' to download the required files for Swype.

8. Tap 'Open' when Swype has completed downloading the necessary components.

9. Tap 'Login' and enter your email address and Swype password.

10. Enter the Swype account code included in the Swype confirmation email that you received after registration and then tap 'Submit.'

11. Select 'Swype Beta English/Spanish' and then tap 'Download Swype.' Tap 'Install' when prompted to continue with installation. Depending on your connection, download and installation should take no more than 10 minutes.

12. Tap 'Done' when installation is complete.

13. Tap 'Enable Swype' and then tap the 'Swype' check box to use it as your keyboard. The Swype keyboard is now configured as the default on your Android device.
