How to Install an APK on an HTC Aria



1. Tap 'Menu,' then 'Settings,' then 'Applications' on your HTC Aria. Check the box next to 'Unknown Sources' to allow your phone to install software from sources other than the Android Market.

2. Connect your Aria to a USB port on your computer. Slide the notification bar down, and tap 'Select to change USB connection type,' which will open the 'Connect to PC' dialogue box.

3. Tap 'HTC Sync' in the dialogue box. Tap 'Done,' and ensure the green HTC icon appears in your system tray on the bottom right of your computer screen.

4. Double-click the HTC icon in your system tray to expand the HTC Sync utility. Click 'Application Installer,' and check the box next to 'Android OS Installer File (APK).' Click 'OK.'

5. Click 'Next,' then 'Browse.' Find the APK file you want to install. Click the file to select it, and click 'Open.' Click 'Next,' followed by 'Finish' to install the file on your smartphone.
