How to Set Up Mocha VNC
iPhone
1. Launch the iPhone App Store and search for 'Mocha VNC.' There are two options, the Lite version, which is a trial version, or the full, paid application. Install whichever one best suits you. You can always upgrade from the Lite version later if you choose.
2. Launch the Mocha VNC application and tap the 'Connect' button in the upper-right corner of your screen.
3. Enter your VNC server's host name or IP address as well as the port number and password needed to authenticate. Optionally, enter an alias for this connection.
4. Tap 'Connect' again to connect to your VNC server.
Android
5. Launch the Android Market on your phone and search for 'Mocha VNC' or visit the Android OTA Download site in your mobile browser (see Resources). Download and install Mocha VNC for Android.
6. Launch the Mocha VNC application by tapping it in your App Drawer. Tap the 'Connect' button in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
7. Enter your VNC server's host name or IP address as well as the port number and password needed to authenticate. Optionally, enter an alias for this connection.
8. Tap 'OK' to initiate the connection with your VNC server.
BlackBerry
9. Launch your BlackBerry's mobile web browser and navigate to the BlackBerry OTA Download page (see Resources). Download and install the application.
10. Launch the Mocha VNC application on your BlackBerry phone. Scroll down to highlight the 'New' option and select it to create a new connection.
11. Enter your VNC server's host name or IP address as well as the port number and password needed to authenticate. Choose which network you would like to use to connect to this VNC server: Wi-Fi, MDS (BlackBerry server) or TCPIP. Optionally, enter an alias for this connection.
12. Use your menu button to save the connection profile. Select your connection profile from the main screen and choose 'Connect' to initiate the connection with your VNC server.
Windows Mobile
13. Download and install the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 from the Microsoft Download Center (see Resources). Launch your phone's mobile web browser and navigate to the MochaSoft VNC Client for Windows Mobile download page (see Resources). There are two versions, one for phones with a touchscreen and one for those without. Download and install the proper version for your phone.
14. Launch the Mocha VNC application from your phone's 'Programs' menu. Select the 'Connections' option from the menu and under Network check the 'Automatically detect settings' option unless you want to force your VNC connections over a specific network.
15. Select 'Load Session' from the menu and enter your VNC server's host name or IP address as well as the port number and password needed to authenticate. Optionally, enter an alias for this connection.
16. Tap the 'Connect' button to initiate the connection with your VNC server.
