How to Extract Apps From an Android
Using Astro File Manager
1. Open the Astro app on your Android smartphone.
2. Press the menu button on your phone, then tap 'Tools.'
3. Tap the 'Application Manager/Backup' option.
4. Check the box next to the app you want to extract from your Android phone, then tap the 'Backup' button.
5. Press the back button on your phone, then tap the 'backups' folder on the screen, followed by the 'apps' folder.
6. Press down and hold the app you want to extract until a pop-up menu appears. Tap the 'Send' option. You can then choose an application you would like to use to send your extracted app to another person or location.
Using Titanium Backup
7. Open the Titanium Backup app on your Android device.
8. Tap the 'Backup/Restore' button at the top of the screen.
9. Tap on the app you would like to extract, then tap the 'Backup!' button. Titanium will make a backup of the app.
10. Press and hold a finger down on the same app until a pop-up menu appears. Tap the 'Send this backup' button. You can then choose a method for sending your application out to another person or location.
