How to Find a Private Phone Number

1. Find a private number that is being manually blocked-This number will show up just as 'private caller' there is no number to use for a search . If the caller is using a code to make their number come up as 'private' , you can use a code back , to uncloak their phone number. After the private caller has hung up, press *69 to see their blocked phone number.

2. Find a phone number that is blocked by the phone company-This isn't an immediate solution , but if you are having long term issues with private numbers, or don't want to run into a problem with unknown callers, you should look into this service. Phone companies offer two services to their customers that do not wish to receive private number calls.1) Anonymous call blocking-

This will bring all blocked numbers to a recording that will tell the caller they must unblock their number before their phone call can go through.2)Privacy Manager-

This feature will require the private caller to enter in their phone number before being connected to you. After they enter their number, they have to speak their name. You receive the recorded name and decide if to accept the call or not.

3. Looking up a number-

If you receive a call that has a private name, but includes a number, you can find out who is calling by using a reverse look-up . Find a reverse phone look up directory by doing a search , and type in the number . It should bring up a name, and an address from where the call came from.

How to Talk With a British Accent

1. Pick a country. Great Britain is an island nation composed of three parts: England, Scotland, and Wales. Once you decide which country you'd like to concentrate on, you can take the next step.

2. Watch British television. If you subscribe to cable, you can have access to such channels as the British Broadcasting Channel (BBC) and learn to affect the accents you hear.

3. Pronounce your t's. Americans tend to be lazy when it comes to enunciating this letter so doing this can make a big difference in your ability to talk with a British accent. Say 'duty' with a hard 't' sound rather than pronouncing it like 'doody.'

4. Be careful with 'u.' Pronounce this as you would in the word 'you' rather than 'stupid.' Thus, 'duty' sounds like 'dyuty' instead of 'doody.'

5. Enunciate well. People sometimes describe the British accent as 'proper' because it sounds so clean and crisp. When speaking, enunciate each consonant clearly, especially those on the end. For example, instead of saying 'I wan it' as many Americans tend to do, place special emphasis on those 't' sounds.

6. Leave out the 'r.' British people pronounce the 'r' if it is in the middle of a word, but not if it lands somewhere toward the end. Hence, 'car' becomes 'cah' and 'park' becomes 'pahk,' but remember to pronounce 'promise' and 'borrow' almost as you would normally.

Android Wi

Default

The default setting for an Android device is that it will disconnect from a Wi-Fi connection when the screen turns off. This setting can be convenient if you no longer want to use the connection and turn off your screen, but can be inconvenient if you are in the middle of a download and your screen automatically turns off due to inactivity. If you are in the middle of a download you may be at risk of an error, or potentially slower downloading speeds, as the device reverts to its service provider's data network.

Never

Setting the Android's Wi-Fi sleep policy to 'Never,' will allow the Wi-Fi connection to be the primary means of data transfer for the entire duration that you remain connected to the network. Android devices support applications that automatically update, even when your screen is off. If you're not connected to Wi-Fi, the device will revert to its cellular network at regular intervals to transfer data, using battery and typically retrieving items at lower speeds than on Wi-Fi. Set the sleep policy to 'Never,' to maintain a constant connection, improve battery life and take advantage of increased data transfer speeds.

Plugged In

An Android device also allows you to maintain a Wi-Fi connection at all times when it is plugged in, by choosing the 'Never when plugged in' option. This setting can be useful if you want to stay connected to a network that you feel is secure, and typically only plug in your device when you're in range of that network, in a safe location. It also enables you to charge your device in times where heavy data usage is taking place, and disconnecting from the Wi-Fi network when you're done and leaving the location.

Settings

Access the Wi-Fi sleep policy settings on your Android device by pressing the 'Menu' button at the home screen, tapping 'Settings,' selecting the 'Wireless & Networks' menu from the list. From the menu, select 'Wi-Fi Settings,' press the 'Menu' button and enter the 'Advanced' settings, tap 'Wi-Fi Sleep Policy' and set it as desired.

No Carb Foods to Eat

Proteins

Fotolia.com'>

Beef, such as steak, ribs and roast, is no-carb food.

Proteins are extremely important in any weight loss or weight management diet as they help build lean muscle mass which in turn will help burn excess fat weight. Meat is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of protein and most meats tend to be not just low-carb, but no-carb. Pork loin chops, sirloin beef steak, white meat from a roasted turkey and fish like flounder or sole are just a few of the meats that can be eaten during a no-carb meal. A few other no-carb proteins are eggs, gelatin, and cheeses such as cheddar, Muenster and parmesan.

Fats

Fotolia.com'>

Olive oil is a heart-healthy fat that also has zero carbohydrates.

Although fat has gotten a bad rap and is typically avoided as much as possible when dieting, fats are just as important to a healthy balanced diet as proteins are. In readjusting your thinking and attitude about food, it is surprising to realize that even a 'hard-core' fat like lard can be included in a low-carb meal as it has zero carbohydrates. Most people don't utilize lard in a typical daily diet, but some other more conventional fats that are also no-carb are butter (salted and unsalted), margarine, olive oil, regular mayonnaise, and vegetable oil.

Drinks

Fotolia.com'>

Coffee and tea are excellent choices when looking for a no-carb drink.

Sugar is a simple carbohydrate and because most alcoholic beverages are high in sugar, they are considered high in carbs as well. However, gin, rum, vodka and whisky are all zero-carb beverages and can be enjoyed straight up, on the rocks, or with club soda, which is also a no-carb drink. For those who don't drink alcohol, tea, coffee (black, no cream or sugar) and diet cola (sweetened with aspartame or saccharin) are all drinks which won't contribute carbohydrates to your diet.

How to Make an Animated Cartoon Character Starring Yourself

1. Open Windows Movie Maker in your programs list. Click on 'file' and 'new project.' Then click again on 'file' and 'save project as,' naming your file. Click on 'file' and 'import into collections' to retrieve your image.

2. With a portrait, drag the image onto the storyboard several times. Then go to 'file' and click on 'tools' and 'video effects.' Drag a video effect onto the first image and see how it appears in preview, which is on the right side of your screen. Try out a different effect on each image.

3. For animation purposes, ensure your images change in a second or less. There are two ways to achieve this.1) Click on the first image and the red click-and-drag tool will appear. Use the tool to reduce the running time of the image by moving it to the left. Repeat on all the images you have dragged into the storyboard.2) Drag the 'speed up, double' video effect onto every image. This is arguably the most important of the video effects tools, as using it on successive images will collectively give them an animated appearance. Pixelate animates just a single image.

4. Watercolor is a good effect to use to create a cartoon-style image. Drag watercolor once onto the first image, twice onto the second image, three times onto the third and four times onto the fourth. Then reverse the process, dragging watercolor three times onto the fifth image, twice onto the sixth image and once onto the seventh image.

5. You can follow the same steps with a full-length image, but you also can use the rotate and pixelate video effects for movement. Once you have followed these steps, remember to click on 'file' and 'save project.' You can then, if you wish, experiment with other video effects.

What Are the Causes of Restless Legs Syndrome?

Definition

According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a condition of the neurological system. Uncomfortable feelings in the legs cause the sufferer to respond, almost uncontrollably, by shifting, shaking the legs, standing, or some other movement in order to relieve the feelings. Restless legs syndrome can be a simple irritant, or it can become painful. The worst part of the syndrome is that the feelings of discomfort, with the corresponding urge to move, become strongest when the sufferer is lying down, trying to relax, trying to sleep or otherwise attempting to remain still with relaxed muscles.

Effects

Restless legs syndrome can be a simple irritant, making it difficult to get to sleep at night, perhaps occurring irregularly or only for a short period of time. However, the syndrome can become extremely uncomfortable, even painful, and can cause sleep deprivation and exhaustion, as sufferers of severe cases are often unable to relax their muscles at all. Any sleep they get is fitful at best.

Genetic Cause

According to NINDS, about 50 percent of RLS cases have a family history of the syndrome. That high of a percentage suggests that there might be a genetic cause of RLS, though more details are still unknown.

Pregnancy

RLS often occurs as a symptom or side effect of pregnancy, particularly in the last trimester, according to NINDS. The instance of RLS during pregnancy could be due to changing hormones, shifting weight and muscle strain, lack of sufficient nutrients, or some combination of factors. Most women who suffer from RLS during pregnancy find that the syndrome disappears within a few weeks of giving birth.

Drug-Related Causes

Another common cause of RLS, reports NINDS, is the use of certain medications. Some drugs used to treat nausea and some used to treat seizures may exacerbate the symptoms of RLS. Even some cold and allergy medicines might cause the symptoms to be aggravated, and switching medications can often bring relief.

Nutritional Causes

NINDS reports that low iron levels and anemia may be related to the onset of RLS. Other nutritional factors also might affect the occurrence of RLS: substances such as caffeine and alcohol, according to NINDS, may trigger symptoms of restless legs syndrome or make the symptoms worse.

How to Create a Video Game Walkthrough

1. Be prepared for the task. A good walkthrough can be 100 pages long and often takes months to compile. Be prepared to play and win the game at least twice during the process. The game guide is only useful if it is complete, so do not start if you have any doubts about finishing the project.

2. Read through online game guides to find what system works and what does not. Observe the basic index structure. Evaluate the search-ability of the guides. Note the look and feel of the font and color scheme. Your walkthrough must be pleasing to the eye. The more user-friendly the guide, the more popular.

3. Organize yourself. Determine the layout you intend to use. Step-by-step game walkthroughs are difficult to maneuver unless cross referenced several ways. For example, separate indexes for weapons, bosses, power-ups and dungeons.

4. Create a rough outline of your index system. Refine it until you are satisfied. Once you begin, it is difficult to change, so approve the content with the format before proceeding further.

5. Fill your outline with as much 'top of your head' information as you can. Add an area at the end for random notes. Do not concern yourself with grammar or a fine-tuned delivery, you are adding rough-draft material. This step can take weeks, so be patient. When you cannot think of another thing to add, proceed to Step 6.

6. Begin the game from scratch. Take meticulous notes, entering them directly into your walkthrough. To save time and effort, abbreviate and use sentence snippets only. Fill out the entire game walkthrough as you encounter each obstacle. Even if you are a whiz at the game, this step can take months to complete. Be thorough, not fast.

7. Edit your work into a final product. Keep the tone steady from start to finish. Correct any errors, re-visiting the game as necessary to fine-tune details. When you are finished, find a home for your walkthrough. Whether you choose to sell or simply display it, place it online.

How to Pronounce Italian Words

1. Pronounce vowels separately, even if they are next to each other in a word, unless there are three in a row. Pronounce 'a' like 'ah,' 'i' like 'ee,' and 'u' like 'oo.'

2. Say the vowels ''o' and 'e' in either of two ways. 'O' is pronounced either open as 'ah' or closed such as 'oh.' 'E' is pronounced like 'eh' or like 'ay.'

3. Speak most consonants as you would in English, except 'c,' 'g,' 'h,' 'r' and 'z.' Pronounce 'c' as 'ch' if it is before an 'i' or 'e' and otherwise like the English 'c.' Pronounce 'g' like an English 'j' if it is before an 'i' or 'e' and like an English 'g' otherwise. Don't pronounce 'h' at all, it is silent in Italian. Roll the 'r' as you would in Spanish. Pronounce 'z' like 'ds' or 'ts' in most Italian words.

4. Be careful with consonant combinations, which can be very different than English. Pronounce 'ch' like 'k' in English. Pronounce 'gh' as 'guh.' Pronounce 'gn' as 'ny' such as in 'banyan.' Pronounce 'sc' like 'sh' if it is in front of an 'i' or 'e' and as 'sk' otherwise. Also pronounce 'sch' like 'sk.'

5. Pronounce three vowels in a row as a single sound, known as a tripthong. The 'i' in a tripthong is usually silent if it is at the end of a word in Italian.

6. Accentuate any syllable that has an accent mark over it. Accent marks are often used in Italian and a word might have two different meanings that are spelled the same but with accent marks in different places.

I Accidentally Uninstalled Launcher on My Android

Launcher

A launcher is an application on your Android device that powers your home screen and allows you to view and launch applications, hence the name. Manufacturers such as HTC and LG provide different launcher utilities on their Android devices. Some modify the basic Android operating system heavily and others include only slight differences. Without the launcher, you will not see any icons or menus on your homescreen. While you may still be able to receive incoming phone calls, your Android phone will be severely limited until you install a launcher program.

Fixes

One way to regain control of your Android device is to log on to the Android Market on your computer and send a new launcher program to your phone. This will initiate installation and you can then run the launcher app on your phone, giving you access to your homescreen once more. You must have a mobile or Wi-Fi connection enabled on your phone in order for this to work. Note that any launcher will rectify your problem. However, official launcher apps from the manufacturers are not available in the Android Market.

Launchers

Some of the launchers available from the Android Market include LauncherPro, ADW.Launcher and GO Launcher EX, all of which are available for free. LauncherPro features three home screens and five dock items that you can customize to your liking. ADW.Launcher offers many of the same features as LauncherPro but also includes the ability to drag icons from the app drawer to the dock and allows you to rename icons on your home screen. This is useful when apps have particularly long names. Finally, Go Launcher EX includes a task killer that allows you to shut down applications that may be eating your memory. Because this function does not run all the time, it saves on battery life over other killers.

Rooted Solution

If you do not have Wi-Fi or a mobile network turned on, you may not be able to install a launcher from the Market. You can then consider flashing your phone's ROM. Basically, this means reinstalling the operating system software. This process is only viable if you have already rooted your phone to grant superuser access to all the files and settings, including those associated with the OS. The rooting process varies between devices and may void the warranty on your Android phone. You must then install a custom recovery options to your phone. This expands the features of your phone's recovery mode. After installing recovery, you can then use it to re-install your phone's ROM. Many Android communities provide downloadable copies of default manufacturers' ROMs, as well as third-party ROMs, for use with Android devices. You should not attempt this if you are not comfortable editing critical parts of your OS as doing so can permanently disable your Android device. If you do attempt this process, ensure that your device has at least 50 percent battery life.

Simple Ways to Root My Evo

Sideloaded Apps

A sideloaded application refers to an application that's transferred onto the phone from your computer. You use the data and charging cable to send the '.apk,' or Android application package, files to the Evo. You need a file browser application to view the package file and install it. Once the package file is installed to your system, you can use the application normally. In most cases, you just need to tap a 'Root' button in the application to begin the process.

Evo-Specific

Some rooting applications are specific to a particular brand or type of phone. The HTC Evo and other HTC brand smartphones have two dedicated rooting options: Unrevoked 3 and Unrevoked Forever. These applications run on your computer and provide a permanent root on the Android operating system. The software is free of charge and is available for Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. Windows users need to install an additional driver prior to running either version of Unrevoked.

Manual Flash

In addition to apps and software, you can go through the Android Software Development Kit to manually flash a root onto the HTC Evo. This method requires more hands-on involvement, as you use several console commands through the Android Debug Bridge to make all changes to your phone. This method is higher-risk than the other two, as you have to enter each command correctly to avoid any flashing problems with your HTC Evo.

Dangers

You lose warranty coverage when you root the HTC Evo. Your carrier may provide limited hardware support, but it varies from company to company. If you're uncertain what your warranty covers, read through it before attempting a root. If your phone loses power while the firmware flashes, you may end up with a bricked phone. Bricking happens when the firmware on a phone, which contains the hardware instruction set, isn't applied properly. If you're unable to re-flash the firmware, the phone needs to be replaced.

How to Make Loose Shoes Tight

1. Lace your shoes. Make sure they are laced as tightly as possible without breaking the laces or suffocating your feet. Double- or triple-knot them to ensure they will stay. This method may be a little irritating when taking the shoes off, but they will stay on.

2. Grab some extra laces and lace them up on your shoes. This will probably not look too stylish. But if you do it right, the laces can actually match the shoes. Make sure they are color-coordinated, so the shoes and laces match.

3. Ball up a sock, a pair of pantyhose or a small rag and insert it into the toe of your shoe. This may be uncomfortable at first, but no one will notice, and your shoes will not slip off. There are also special socks you can buy with a thicker toe specifically for this purpose.

4. Put on several pairs of socks. This method may also be uncomfortable, but it is especially useful in the winter, because it will keep your feet very warm, even in extremely cold temperatures.

5. Use shoe pads. They are inexpensive and quite comfortable. Just slip them into your shoe, right under your foot. These are great for high-heeled shoes, because they help minimize slippage. You can also use heel pads.

How to Make a Call From Gmail on Android

1. Press the 'Home' button to reach the 'Home' screen. This button usually has the image of a house on it.

2. Tap the 'Applications' option, then tap 'Gmail.' The 'Applications' option is usually near the bottom of the display. This brings up the list of all the apps installed on your phone. If you have a shortcut to the Gmail app on your home screen, you can just tap that instead.

3. Tap an email from the person you want to call. If you don't see one, you can always press the 'Menu' button and tap 'Search,' and then type the name or email address of the person you're looking for. The 'Menu' button usually either says 'Menu' on it or has several horizontal lines on it to indicate text.

4. Expand the messages that are collapsed, if necessary. If you can see the sender's name and email address at the top of the message, then you don't need to do this; otherwise the sender's message is collapsed behind the most recent email. Tap the tab at the top of the email to view previous messages, and then tap a specific message to view it.

5. Tap the 'Quick Contact' icon near the top of the email to view the available actions for that contact. This is the square button with a picture in it; the picture varies based on your contact settings. It may be a specific picture you or that person chose, or it may just be a generic image.

6. Tap the 'Call' option, which has the image of a phone on it. If your phone has only one number for that contact, you'll see the calling screen right away. If your phone has more than one number, the numbers will pop up below the 'Quick Contact' icon, and you can then tap the one you want. If you don't see the 'Call' option at all, that means you don't have a phone number for that contact.

7. Press the green phone icon to begin the call.

How to Install a Water Ionizer

1. Plug in the ionizer filter into an available electrical outlet located near the sink where the ionizer is to be used. Place the ionizer on the countertop next to the sink. Choose any location for the ionizer filter that is most appropriate for your intended use within the household. The ionizer can be installed in the kitchen, bathroom, on a wet bar, in the laundry room, utility room, garage or anywhere there is a sink.

2. Unscrew the aerator from the water faucet. The aerator is the small housing at the tip of the faucet where the water comes out. Replace the aerator by screwing on the faucet diverter tube in its place. The diverter tube contains a lever on one side and a hose attachment on the other. The lever allows you to choose between normal tap water and water from the ionizing filter.

3. Connect one end of the inlet hose to the attachment nozzle on the diverter tube, and connect the other end to the bottom of the ionizer filter where it is marked 'Inlet.' Clamp both ends of the inlet tube with hose clamps.

4. Attach the outlet tube to the bottom of the ionizer where it is marked 'Outlet.' Fasten the outlet tube to the ionizer with a hose clamp. Hang the other end of the outlet tube into the sink where the runoff can go down the drain.

5. Turn on the faucet and run water through the ionizer. The ionizer unit powers up automatically when it senses water running through it. Set the pH level on the ionizer using the knob indicator on the ionizer filter, anywhere from 0 to 12.0. Choose the 'acidic' or 'alkaline' setting as needed. Consult the owner's manual included with the ionizer filter for specific information on the use of ionized water.

Symptoms of Milk Protein Allergy in Babies

Skin Problems

Skin problems may be evident in a baby who is allergic to milk protein. Rashes, swelling (angioedema), hives, eczema and itchy/red bumps on the skin are indicators of a milk protein allergy. Skin irritation that arises after a baby is exposed to milk protein over a period of time will generally be relieved within a few days, if no longer ingesting the allergen.

Behavior Changes

A normally happy, satisfied baby may exhibit sudden behavior changes due to a milk protein allergy. An infant can become irritable or colicky within hours of consuming milk or milk-based products. This behavior change is typically due to pain in the digestive system, and subsides as the cause for digestive upset is removed from the diet.

Digestive Upset

A milk protein allergy can cause severe digestive distress and upset, including abdominal pain or cramping, vomiting or copious amounts of spit up, loose stools, diarrhea and possible bloody diarrhea. A baby with a milk protein allergy may also gag during feeding, or refuse food or milk completely. Digestive upset symptoms occur within hours or days of being exposed to an allergen; an examination by a pediatrician is necessary to rule out other causes. If milk protein is the culprit, a baby will feel better quickly after exposure to the allergen ceases, depending on how fast the previous milk ingestion passes through the digestive system.

Breathing Problems

A baby can develop asthma as the result of an allergy to milk protein. Wheezing and difficulty breathing can occur; call 911 immediately if your baby experiences the sudden onset of breathing problems and cannot catch his breath. A slower development of the condition over the course of a few days should be addressed by a pediatrician to rule out any underlying problems.

Anaphlyaxis

Anaphylaxis is more common with allergies to foods rather than to milk protein, and is a serious rapid-onset symptom that can cause death. It usually affects the baby's entire body, including the skin, stomach, breathing and blood pressure. Symptoms occur within seconds or minutes of exposure to the allergen, and include wheezing, swelling, abdominal pain, fainting, nausea or vomiting, abnormal breathing sounds, heart palpitations, skin redness and rash, confusion and anxiety. Anaphylactic reactions require attention at a hospital emergency room, and if suspected, 911 must be called immediately.

Android Apps Change Automatic Updating

Froyo

The Android operating system for smartphones released an update with Android 2.2, code-named Froyo. Notable in the update was the inclusion of the auto-update feature for Android applications. Many Android users were excited about this update, since before its release users had to check on updates for each app used, and install them manually -- inconvenient, if you have more than a handful of apps on your phone.

Turning Auto-Update On

To activate the auto-update feature on a smartphone running on Android 2.2 or higher, go to the Android Marketplace, then to the 'Apps' section. Press the menu key, and select 'My Apps' from the pop-up menu. Select an app and scroll down. Check the grey button next to 'Allow Automatic Updating,' which will make the check mark in the gray box turn green. To automatically update, go back to the 'My Apps' screen, which will prompt you to check a box to automatically update all enabled apps.

Turning Auto-Update Off

To turn auto-update off, you need to access the application you wish to return to manual updating in the Android marketplace. Uncheck the 'Allow Automatic Updating' box, which will take away the green check mark. To update this app in the future, you will need to pull up the 'My Apps' screen by pressing the menu button in the Android Marketplace. Scroll down to find the app you wish to update. If an update is available, it will be listed under 'Update.' Select the app, and give permission to update manually.

Reasons for Modifying Individually

There are reasons to have certain applications automatically update while leaving others to be done manually. Users can benefit from having frequently used apps updated automatically, with infrequently used apps in manual updating. This can save memory storage on your Android phone, especially if you have more than a handful of apps installed. This can also help keep you within your data plan limits, using data only on the most useful app updates and postponing the less useful ones for another time.

You will need to convert any DRM-protected music files to MP3 format before exporting them to your Android phone.

4. Connect the USB cable from your Android phone to a USB port on your computer. Windows will recognize it as an external device and will assign a drive letter to it.

5. Click on the name of a music file on your iTunes playlist. Drag and drop the music file into the 'Music' folder on your Android phone. When you have finished exporting all of your music files, disconnect the cable between your Android phone and computer.

How to Get Ex Wife Back Again

1. Before you start making a move on your ex wife, do make sure that you are doing this because you honestly think that you are also looking for your wife and children's best interest. 2. So how do you get started on how to get ex wife back? Again, if you have kids, just show her how a responsible father you are to your children.

How to Install a DAT File

1. Determine with which program the DAT file is associated. Look at the file name for clues. If the DAT file was downloaded, consult the website. Look at the containing folder for clues as to what program uses the DAT file. Open the DAT file in 'Notepad' to look for clues. Open an audio or video DAT file with Windows Media Player to see the contents.

2. Place the DAT file in the correct folder. If the DAT file is already in a folder associated with the correct program, skip this step. Using the Google Voice app on your phone, set the voice mail and call settings that you want -- for example, set Google Voice to handle all incoming and outgoing calls. Now your voice mail will be backed up and accessible at voice.google.com.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions for Visual Voicemail to create an account through the application. After you've created your account, forward any missed or ignored calls to 813-200-0200 by following the instructions from your cell phone provider. Your voice mails will be transcribed and backed up at the PhoneFusion site. You can access your voice mails through the app on your Android phone.

4. Press the 'Menu' button when you launch YouMail and then tap 'Help.' Touch 'Forward to YouMail' and then press 'Yes.' YouMail will automatically set up your phone to forward missed and ignored calls to YouMail and then transcribe and backup the voice mails automatically.
