Tape Machine

Tape Machine allows you to record up to two hours of audio with manual and automatic gain controls. It also has a suite of editing tools that let you scratch, zoom, select, undo, fade out, fade in, normalize and export the audio you’ve recorded. You can also set latency and sample rates. Tape Machine has support for recording, converting and playing WAV, FLAC, OGG and AIFF files. An MP3 encoder is available as a supplementary download. Tape Machine requires Android 1.5 or higher.

Hi-Q MP3 Recorder

Hi-Q MP3 Recorder allows you to record live audio and save it directly to the MP3 file format at a sampling rate of 44kHz. The application’s built-in features include support for bit rates up to 128kbps, manual input gain control and maximum disk usage control. Hi-Q MP3 Recorder also allows you to send and manage recordings by Bluetooth and email, or by exporting and importing files to and from a memory card. Hi-Q MP3 Recorder requires Android 1.6 or higher.

FourTracks Pro

FourTracks Pro is a four-track audio recording application. Its features include four independent tracks with individual track volume and mute buttons, looping, a latency compensation tool and a metronome. FourTracks Pro records CD quality audio at sampling rates up to and including 44kHz. Onboard editing features include copy, paste and selective silencing. Recorded audio can be exported to either the WAV or OGG audio file formats. FourTracks Pro requires Android 2.2 or higher.

J4T Multitrack Recorder

Like FourTracks Pro, J4T Multitrack Recorder is a four-track audio recording application that allows you to record audio on four independent channels. The application’s features include independent track volume control, adjustable sample rates, latency adjustment and a copying tool for moving audio between tracks. J4T Multitrack Recorder can import and export MP3 and WAV files. The application requires Android 2.0 or higher.
