How to Root the Dell Streak

1. Go to your computer. Download the z4root APK file from TheUnlockr.com.

2. Connect your Dell Streak to the computer's USB port with the data cable. Turn the Streak on if it isn't currently powered up.

3. Click Start. Click Computer. Double-click the Dell Streak's icon in the Computer menu. Drag and drop the z4root APK file to your Streak.

4. Disconnect the Dell from your computer and open the file manager. If you don't already have a file manager, you can download one such as Astro File Manager through the Android application marketplace.

5. Tap the z4root APK file. Tap 'Open App Manager.' Tap 'Install' to add z4root to your Streak. Open your applications menu and launch z4root. Tap 'Root' to root your Dell Streak.
