How to Change a Sprint Phone to a Pre

1. Ensure that the old device you have is compatible. Any Nextel iDEN device will work. If you have a phone that was previously used on the Nextel push-to-talk network, it is likely compatible. Typically, the phone will be labeled somewhere with the Nextel company name and will have a slot for a SIM card.

2. Using your computer, point your Internet browser to boostmobile.com. Click on the 'Activate' link.

3. Click the link on the activate page that says 'Order a Starter Kit.' This will bring up a page that allows you to order the Boost Mobile SIM card required for your old device to work. Place your starter kit in your shopping cart and follow the prompts to complete your order.

4. Once you receive you starter kit, insert the included Boost Mobile SIM card into your existing phone. You may then complete the setup of your Boost Mobile account by following the instructions included with the starter kit.
