What Is USB Debugging for an Android?
USB Debug Mode
Press 'Home' and press 'Menu.' Tap 'Settings.' Tap 'Applications' and tap 'Development.' The option of USB Debug mode is checked if the phone user has Sprint transfer the contacts. USB Debug Mode is used with PDAnet to be able to use the Internet on the Android phone for a computer. It synchronizes with a computer automatically. An alert sometimes appears in the notification area with the message 'USB debugging connected (Select to disable USB debugging).' Disabling USB debugging will stop the automatic synchronization process.
Debug Android Applications
The 'USB Debug Mode' must be on to debug Android applications for Android development purposes. When developing using a Windows computer, a USB driver for adb (Android Debug Bridge) needs to be installed. When developing on a Mac computer, the USB driver for adb doesn't need to be installed. The Android smartphone can be used to test applications before they are launched. In order to test on the Android, it needs to be set up for development and debugging.
Desktop Phone Manager
The USB Debug mode, when turned on, can also allow the Android smartphone to communicate with a desktop phone manager and allow the connection. The connection can be made only via USB cable. MyPhoneExplorer is one of these desktop phone managers. Some Android-powered devices require this option for different file operations. For example, the content and data stored on the desktop computer can be automatically synchronized with the Android phone. USB debugging must be activated. To change the USB debugging mode, the phone must be disconnected from a USB cable and computer.
Rooting the Android
Some programs can root the Android smartphone without the phone user performing any command-line work. USB debug mode allows the phone to communicate with the program automatically. Rooting a smartphone means to add a new user interface, software and other applications to it. Rooting gives the smartphone users the 'root,' or administration access to system files and changing other things on the phone normally set as 'read only.' Custom versions of Android can also be installed. USB debug mode must be on for the smartphone to be rooted.
