How to Bypass the Logon on an Android G1

1. Press and hold down the power button on your G1 until it begins to boot. The power button is also the red hanging up button.

2. Allow it to boot to the setup wizard, with the screen that says, 'Touch to begin' and a hand pointing to the icon of an Android. It may also say 'Touch the Android to begin.' Do not touch the Android.

3. Tap the upper left corner of the screen, the upper right corner of the screen, the lower right corner of the screen and the lower left corner of the screen. The setup wizard exits and goes straight to the factory default Home screen. If you have rooted and flashed a new ROM onto your phone, it skips the setup wizard and goes straight to the default Home screen for that ROM.

4. Press the 'Menu' button, tap 'Settings' and tap 'Accounts' to add your Google account to the phone and sync it, when you are ready.
