How to Set Up a Spy Phone Target

1. Decide on a mobile phone spy software. Three programs worth investigating are SpyBubble, MobiStealth and FlexiSpy (see Resource links). As of 2010, these cost between $50 and $200, depending on which program you choose. Note that these programs usually only work on smart phones such as the iPhone, Treo or Blackberry.

2. Download and install the software on the target phone. The setup may vary slightly depending on the software that you purchased, but they are basically the same. Using the target phone's Web browser, go to the download link that was provided to you when you purchased the software program. Click on the file and initiate the installation process. You will be asked for an activation code, which you receive when you purchase the program. Enter the code and restart the phone.

3. Configure the software by choosing the information that you wish to monitor. Depending on which program you bought, you can choose from incoming and outgoing calls, GPS location, texts, emails and photos.

4. Monitor the phone by logging on to the password-protected website. The phone will automatically upload the information that you selected at regular intervals. You will be provided with the URL and log-in details upon purchase. Once you are logged in, you will be able to see the information that you chose to monitor.
