How to Filter Files From the Project Explorer View in Eclipse
1. Open the Project Explorer. Often, this is already open by default. The Project Explorer is a window showing all of your projects and their associated files. If you don't have the Project Explorer open, click “Window,” “Show View” and select “Project Explorer.”
2. Click the small white triangle at the very top of the Project Explorer window. This is a menu.
3. Click on 'Customize View' to open a window with a 'Filters' tab. Below, the various available filters are displayed. If you have 20 external JAR files in your application, for example, and you don't want to see them, select 'Libraries from External' and then click 'OK.' Similarly, you can hide any of the other file types in the filters list.
