How to Use Skype on a 3G Android
1. Turn on your Android device. Tap 'Marketplace' from the home screen or 'Applications' menu. Touch the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the Marketplace screen. Type 'Skype' in the search box. You will see several different results appear. Click the 'Skype' application from Skype. It should be at the top of the results and should have a blue 'S' icon next to it.
2. Touch 'Free' under 'Install.' Click 'OK.' A gray box will appear at the bottom of your screen, informing you that Skype is being downloaded. The application will automatically install after it downloads.
3. Launch Skype from the 'Notifications' menu once the application is installed. Press 'Continue.' Enter your Skype username and password and click 'Sign in.' If you do not have an account, click 'Create an account' at the bottom of the screen.
4. Choose your sync options. You can choose to sync your entire Skype contact list to your Android contact list, sync only contacts that exist on both your Android contact list and your Skype contact list or choose not to sync any contacts.
5. Call or chat with someone from your contacts list by clicking the 'Contacts' tab and touching the person's name. You can then click 'Call' or 'Chat.' If you wish to call someone not on your contacts list, touch the 'Call' tab and enter the number.
6. Change your info by touching the 'My Info' tab and editing the listed information. You can also add Skype credits from the 'My Info' tab.
