How to Check In the Gowalla Android App

1. Install the Gowalla app on your Android device. Visit the Android Market and search 'Gowalla' or browse to Gowalla.com/Download on your mobile browser.

2. Launch the Gowalla app and log in with your Gowalla username and password. If you haven't registered yet you can press the 'Register' button in the Android app to create a new username and password. You can also log in with your Facebook credentials.

3. Press the 'Check In' button from the Gowalla home screen. The best location will be populated in the top section. Gowalla will use the most accurate data available, so if you have GPS enabled it will know your precise location, but if you only have the cell tower data it won't be able to get much closer than a neighborhood.

4. Tap the location listing at the top of the screen to choose a different location. Tap in the section on the right to type in what you're doing at that location. Tap the 'Add a Photo' icon on the left to use your Android camera to take a picture.

5. Press the 'Check In' button at the bottom of the screen.
