How to Clear Google Maps for Android 2.1

1. Launch the 'Maps' application by touching the 'Maps' icon. The location of the icon is either on your home screen or in the 'Application' menu. The button that opens the 'Application' menu varies for each Android phone but is typically found at the bottom center of the screen.

2. Click the 'Menu' button to bring up a list of options. The 'Menu' button's appearance and location also varies for each Android phone, but the button is typically along the bottom row of buttons located just below the screen. It is the button that does not look like a house, arrow or magnifying glass.

3. Touch 'Clear map.' The map will instantly revert back to its default look, which automatically includes your current position, because of the built-in GPS. If you would like the map to show another location or your GPS cannot find your current location, enter the location in the 'Search Maps' text box.
