How to Transfer a File to an Android Phone With Wireless
Wi-Fi File Manager
1. Download and install Wi-Fi File Manager from the Android Market. Tap the “Applications Drawer” and scroll to the “Wi-Fi File Manager” icon. Touch the icon.
2. Tap “Turn On Server.” Open a browser window and enter the IP address and port number displayed in the app. For example, if your phone’s address is 10.0.0.6 on your wireless network, you may type “http://10.0.0.6:8080.”
3. Scroll in your browser window to the directory that you want to transfer files to. Click the directory, scroll to the bottom of the window and select “Browse.” Browse through your file system for the file you want to transfer and double-click it. Click “Upload File.”

4. Download and install WiFi File Explorer from the Android Market. Launch the app.
5. Note the address in the “WiFi File Explorer” window. The IP address will display, for example, as “10.0.0.6:8000.” Open a browser window, type the address and press Enter.
6. Click the directory where you want to transfer the files, then click “Select Files.” Browse through your file system for the file you want to transfer and double-click it. Click “Upload Files.” Check the “Overwrite” box if you are updating an existing file.

7. Download Wireless File Transfer from the Android Market and install it. Open the program.
8. Tap the “Stop” button. When the button turns green and changes to “Active,” open a browser window and enter the IP address on the Wireless File Transfer screen in the browser's address bar. Press Enter.
9. Scroll to the directory where you want to transfer a file and click it. Click “Upload.” Click “Browse” and find the file. Double-click the file and select “Upload.”
