How to Block Numbers From Texting on Android Phones

Handcent

1. Download and install the Handcent app from the Android market.

2. Open the Handcent app.

3. Press and hold on any SMS message sent from the number you want to block.

4. Press the 'Blacklist' option in the menu that appears.

5. Press the 'OK' button in the confirmation window.

SMS Filter

6. Download and install the SMS Filter app from the Android Market. Launch the app.

7. Type the number you want to block in the text box at the top of the screen.

8. Press the 'Add' button to add the number to the blacklist.

Privacy Star

9. Download, install and launch the Privacy Star app from the Android Market.

10. Press the 'Block Number' option.

11. Type the number that you want to block into the text box and press the 'Block Number' button.

12. Press the 'Menu' button and select the 'Settings' option.

13. Press the 'Block Text Messages' option.
