How to Make an Android Phone a Wireless Hotspot
1. Tap on the Application's button to show your list of applications and select 'Settings.'
2. Select 'Wireless & network settings,' then tap 'Tethering & portable hotspot.'
3. Choose 'Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings' and type in a name for your hotspot under 'Network SSID.' You can also select the type of security you want on your hotspot. 'Open' means that anyone can connect, while 'WEP' will require you to set a password.
4. Hit the back button on your phone and tap the checkbox next to 'Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.' This will turn on your hotspot. You should be able to find and connect to your new Wi-Fi hotspot using any Wi-Fi-capable device.
