How to View an Android Phone Screen on a PC
1. Download the Adroid SDK from developer.android.com. Find the 'Windows' heading and download the 'installer_r11' file under that heading. Once the file is on your computer, double-click it to run it.
2. Click 'Next' on the first installation screen, and then again on the second. If you do not have the Java SE Development Kit installed on your computer, you will have to press a button which will take you to the Java website where you can download the kit. Once that kit is installed, the SDK installation will continue. Click 'Next' and then click 'Install' to complete the SDK installation. Click 'Finish' once the installation is complete, and the SDK program will launch automatically.
3. Select each of the listed applications and click the radio button next to 'Reject.' Do this for every listed application except 'Android SDK Platform-tools' and 'SDK Platform Android 3.0 API 11.' Click 'Install' to download and install these two packages.
4. Select 'Yes' once the packages have been downloaded and installed. Then click the 'X' in the upper-right corner of the window to close the program.
5. Go to the 'Settings' menu on your Android smartphone. Select the 'Applications' menu and then the 'Development' menu. Tap 'USB debugging' to place a check mark next to it. Tap the 'Home' button to exit the menu system.
6. Click the 'Start' button on your Windows 7 desktop. Select 'Computer' from the list that appears. Double-click your hard drive letter in the Explorer window, then double-click on 'Program Files (x86).' Double-click 'Android' and then 'android-sdk.' Finally, double-click on 'Tools' and the 'ddms' batch file.
7. Connect your Android smartphone to your computer using the data cable. The cable will plug into any available USB port on your computer.
8. Click the 'Device' menu at the top of the 'DDMS' window. Choose 'Screen Capture' from the drop-down menu. A small window will appear on the screen and will display exactly what is on your Android Smartphone screen.
