How to Get Android 2.2 on an Alltel Milestone

1. Charge your Milestone until the battery is at 100 percent. The device must be fully charged battery to prevent potential software corruption during the update.

2. Tap the “Menu” button on your Milestone and tap the “Settings” icon.

3. Scroll down tap the “About Phone” icon.

4. Tap “System Updates” and select “Search for Updates.”

5. Touch “Download and Install” to download Android 2.2 to your Milestone. Wait for the installation process to complete. This may take between five and 60 minutes. Your phone will restart at least once during the process. When your Milestone’s lock screen appears, the update is complete.
