How to Root an Android 1.5 Phone



1. Download the rooting application from the Android phone you will be rooting. This application is called Z4root and is available in the Android Market. Press the 'Market' application on your Android homescreen and enter 'Z4root' in the search bar.

2. Press the 'Z4root' icon in the search results, then press 'Install' on the next window to install Z4root. Press the 'Home' button on the phone to return to the homescreen.

3. Press the 'App drawer' icon on the Android homescreen to see the list of all installed applications that are on the Android phone.

4. Press the 'Z4root' icon on the bottom of the list and Z4root will launch on the phone. Press the 'Root' button on the Z4root homescreen and wait as the application roots the Android 1.5 phone automatically. The phone will reboot. When it turns back on, the phone will be rooted.
