How to Connect an iPod Touch to an Android Tether



Establish Android Wireless Hotspot

1. Unlock your Android phone and press the 'Home' button to display the device's home screen.

2. Press the 'Menu' button.

3. Touch 'Settings' and then touch 'Wireless & networks.'

4. Touch 'Tethering & Portable Hotspot.'

5. Touch 'Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot' to activate the wireless tether.

6. Touch 'Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings.'

7. Touch 'Configure Wi-Fi Hotspot.' Take note of the network name listed under 'Network SSID,' as that is the network you will need to connect to from your iPod.

8. Tap the drop-down menu under 'Security' and choose the 'WPA2 PSK' option.

9. Type a password into the 'Password' field and then press 'Save.'

10. Unlock your iPod touch and then press the 'Home' button.

11. Tap the 'Settings' icon.

12. Tap 'Wi-Fi' and then tap the box to the right of 'Wi-Fi' so that it says 'On.'

13. Tap your Android's wireless hotspot from the list of available networks.

14. Type the password you created earlier and then press 'Join.'
