How to Browse Install From the Android Root Folder
Enabling Apps From Other Sources
1. Press the 'Menu' button from the main screen and tap 'Settings.'
2. Touch 'Applications' and check the box next to 'Unknown sources.' The device will display a confirmation screen.
3. Touch 'OK' to accept and press 'Home' to return to the main screen.
Installing a File Explorer
4. Open the application screen on your Android device and touch 'Market.'
5. Tap the magnifying glass icon to bring up the search bar. Enter 'ES File Explorer' and press 'Enter' or tap the magnifying glass icon again.
6. Touch 'ES File Explorer' and tap 'Download.' The page will show the list of required permissions. Touch 'Accept & download' to download and install the software, then press the 'Home' key to return to the main screen.
7. Open the application screen and touch 'ES File Explorer' to launch the app. The screen will open to the root folder on the device. Sub folders and files are shown as icons with the name of the file or folder underneath.
8. Touch the icon for the app you want to install and follow the installation instructions.
