How to Install Android on the HTC Touch Pro

1. Press and hold down the phone's power button until the device turns off. Turn the phone over and press on the bottom area of the battery cover and slide the cover up to remove it. Slide out the memory card, which should be located in a slot toward the top of the phone on the right-hand side of the back panel.

2. Insert the memory card into the appropriate slot on your computer and launch your web browser. Locate a shared files website, such as FileCrop (see Resource), and download the '.cab files' (a type of data archive file) Android 2.1 + HTC sense and Android 2.1.

3. Transfer the files from your PC to the memory card. In some cases, you can drag and drop the files, but in others, you may have to right-click on the files individually and select 'Send To.'

4. Remove the memory card from the PC and reinstall it in the phone. Press and hold the power button to turn the phone back on and then launch the application from the Start menu. This should allow you to run Android on the HTC.
