How to Make Your Own Android Ringtones
1. Step 1 to getting free ringtones on your Droid: Mount your Droid to your computer. Locate the song that you want to use a piece of as your ringtone. Put it on your Droid.
2. Next, access the Android Market on your phone. This can be done by sliding up the applications menu and selecting the Market. Hit the search button and type in Ringdroid. Download the Ringdroid application and install it on your phone.
3. Ringdroid is a program that will cut out any piece of any song that you have on your phone, and apply it as a ringtone. Open up Ringdroid on your Droid Applications Menu. All of the music on your phone will pop up in a list. Locate the song that you want to use and select it.
4. Hit the play button to play the song. You will see the song laid out graphically, and you can double tap the spot where your desired ringtone is in the song. Move the selection buttons to surround the piece of the song that you want as your ringtone. Click the save button, and apply it as your ringtone. You're done.
