How to Make a Playstation Recognize an Android Phone

1. Turn on the PS3 system and connect the Android smart phone to the PS3 system via the USB connection cable that came with the device.

2. Tap the 'USB' icon at the top of the Android's home screen, followed by the 'USB Connected' option.

3. Tap the 'Mount' option when prompted to place the device into USB mode.

4. Scroll over to the section of the PS3's XrossMediaBar that corresponds to the media you want to view -- Photo for images, Video for videos, Music for music.

5. Scroll down to the Android device's removable device icon and press the 'Triangle' button. Select the 'Show All' option to view all of the files of the specified file type stored on your Android device.
