How to Make More Room on My Android Phone
1. Delete unused applications. Press the “Menu” button, tap “Settings,” then touch “Applications.” Tap “Manage Applications.” The apps installed on your phone are listed with the amount of memory that each app uses. Tap an application name and touch “Uninstall” to remove the app from the phone.
2. Clear application caches. Open “Settings,” touch “Applications,” then tap “Manage Applications.” Touch an application and tap “Clear Cache” to delete cached data. Not all apps cache data, and the cache is often recreated when the application runs, but the recreated cache is usually smaller than the saved cache.
3. Move applications to the microSD card. Open “Settings,” tap “Applications,” then touch “Manage Applications.” Tap an application. Touch “Move to SD Card” to remove the app from the phone’s memory and run it from the microSD card.
