How to convert video for Android for free on Mac or Windows
RealPlayer Converter
1. Download and install the video conversion program RealPlayer Converter by Real.
2. Launch the program and click the 'Browse' button to open your video file.
3. Click the 'Convert to' button and select the 'Google Nexus One' preset.
4. Click the 'i' button to change any attributes for format, quality and resolution.
5. Click the 'Start' button to convert the video to the Android compatible format, 3GP H.263.
Videora Android Converter
6. Download and install the video conversion program Videora Android Converter by Red Kawa.
7. Launch the application and click the 'Convert' tab at the top of the main window.
8. Select 'Normal Mode' and then click the 'Select File' button to open the video file.
9. Define an output directory for the converted file and then click the 'Next' button.
10. Name the file to be converted and then click the 'Next' button.
11. Adjust any video output settings for size and quality and then click the 'Next' button.
12. Click the 'Start Converting' button to convert the video to the Android compatible format, 3GP H.263.
Emicsoft FLV Converter
13. Download and install the video conversion program Emicsoft FLV Converter by Emicsoft.
14. Launch the application and then click the 'Add Files' button to open the video file.
15. Select 'Google Phone' from the 'Profile' drop-down list.
16. Click the 'Settings' button to adjust any settings for size, quality and resolution.
17. Click the 'Start' button to convert the video to the Android compatible format, 3GP H.263.
