How to End the Launcher Process on an Android

1. Go to your Android smartphone's home screen.

2. Press your phone's 'Settings' button. Tap 'Applications' in your settings list.

3. Tap 'Manage Applications.'

4. Tap 'Running' to get a list of all the applications that are active and running on the phone.

5. Tap 'Launcher.' Tap 'Force Stop.' Android attempts to stop the application from running.
