How to Edit Android Widget Size
1. Unlock your Android device and press the 'Home' button. Touch and hold a blank area on one of your home screens until the dialog box appears. Tap 'Widget' and then scroll through the list to find the widget you want. If the developer has coded in multiple sizes, you can choose that here. The sizes will be expressed in terms of icon squares, so a '1x4' widget will be one icon high and four wide.
2. Install a home screen replacement app from the Android Market if the widget size you want isn't available. Open the application launcher and tap the 'Market' icon. Touch the magnifying glass and then type the name of the app you want. Some home screen apps that offer widget resizing are Zeam Launcher, LauncherPro and ADW.Launcher.
3. Tap the listing for your app and then touch 'Download.' Press 'Accept and Download' to start the installation process. When the installation is complete, tap 'Open.' It may take a few moments for the launcher to open the first time.
4. Long-press a blank spot on the home screen and then tap 'Widget.' Select the widget that you want to add. If using ADW.Launcher or Zeam Launcher, you will be given the option to choose the size of the widget after you select it. If you're using LauncherPro, you can long-press the widget once it's on the home screen and then drag the handle to resize it. Note that the resize option is only available in the paid version of LauncherPro.
