How to Change Icon Pictures
Windows XP
1. Right-click on an empty space on the desktop. A drop-down menu will appear.
2. Click on 'Properties.'
3. Click on the 'Desktop' tab.
4. Click on 'Customize Desktop...'
5. Click on the icon in the box that you want to change and then click on 'Change Icons...'
6. Change the icon to the one that you prefer, click on 'OK' to close the screen, and then click on 'Apply' and 'OK' to make the changes. Repeat this until you've changed all the icons to suit your preferences.
Windows Vista
7. Click on an empty space on the desktop. A drop-down menu will appear.
8. Click on 'Personalize.'
9. Click on 'Change desktop icons.'
10. Click on the icon you want to change in the box and then click on 'Change icon.'
11. Change the icon to the one you prefer, click on 'OK' to close the screen, and then click on 'Apply' and 'OK' to make the changes. Repeat these steps until you've changed all the icons that you want to change.
Mac Operating Systems
12. Select the item whose icon you want to apply to a different icon.
13. Click on the 'File' menu.
14. Click on 'Get Info.'
15. Click on the icon in the top-left corner of the 'Get Info' window and copy it. Close the screen.
16. Select the item whose icon you want to change.
17. Click on 'File' and click on 'Get Info.'
18. Click on the icon in the top-left corner of the window, and paste the new icon on it to make the change.
