How to Modify the Theme in an HTC EVO

1. Download the launcher APK file with the theme changes you want to use. There are several on Mobiles24.com for the HTC Evo, or you could choose ADW, Helix or Launcher Pro.

2. Plug your phone into your computer using the USB dongle, drag the top part of the phone notification screen down and tap the USB connection. Tap the option to mount the SD drive on your computer.

3. Drag and drop the APK file from the' Downloads' file on your computer to the SD card on your Evo.

4. Eject your phone's SD card from your computer, drag the notification area of your phone down and tap the USB connection again. Change it to 'charge only' and unplug the phone from the dongle.

5. Use your favorite file browser on your Evo to navigate to your SD card, and tap the APK file for the new launcher to install it. You may have to change your settings to allow the installation of non-market applications.

6. Tap the 'Home' button on your Evo, and select your new launcher from the list. Tap and hold areas on the screen and start adding widgets and changing the wallpaper with your new theme options.
