How to Uninstall the OS for a BlackBerry Curve
1. Connect your BlackBerry to your computer using the USB cable that came with your Curve. Open your web browser and navigate to the link in Resources below for the JL_Cmder program.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the JL_Cmder v.1.90 installer. Save this to your desktop. Right-click the file on your desktop, and choose to extract it here. Double-click the folder to enter it, then double-click the JL_Cmder vv1.9.0 exe file to begin.
3. Select 'Y' or 'N' when it asks if the BlackBerry has a password. If you chose 'Y,' then enter the password. Select option 4 to begin the wipe of your device. Click 'Y' on the confirmation screen, then type in the word 'blackberry' (without the quotes) on the second confirmation screen when ready. You will see a white screen with a 507 error. This means the OS has been successfully deleted. Close the JL_cmder program.
