How to Sync Live Email to the Android

1. Open the app drawer on your Android device and tap the 'Email' icon to start the Email application.

2. Type your Windows Live Hotmail address into the 'Email address' field, then enter your password into the 'Password' field. Tap the 'Manual setup' button.

3. Tap the 'POP3' button.

4. Fix your username so that the '@hotmail.com' portion is added to the end.

5. Enter 'pop3.live.com' as your POP3 server, and the port as '995.' Set the security type as 'SSL,' then tap 'Next.'

6. Type 'smtp.live.com' as your SMTP server and use port '587.' Set 'TLS (Accept All Certificates)' as the security type. Tap the 'Next' button once more.

7. Tap the drop-down box to choose how often you'd like your mail to be checked, then tap 'Next.'

8. Enter a name for your account, then enter your name as you'd like it to appear on outgoing emails. Tap 'Done' to finish setting up your Windows Live Hotmail account on your Android device.
