How to Measure the Performance of Android

1. Tap the 'Market' icon on the home screen of your Android-based phone to open the Market application.

2. Tap the 'Search' button near the bottom of the screen. Type 'Quadrant Standard Edition' in the window that appears, and then tap 'OK' to locate the Quadrant benchmarking application.

3. Tap the 'Install' button at the bottom of the window to install the application.

4. Return to the home screen after the installation process is complete, and tap the 'Quadrant' icon to launch the benchmarking application.

5. Tap 'Run Full Benchmark' at the top of the screen. The benchmark process begins. During this process, the graphics on the phone's display change several times as the utility runs the phone through different tests. When the process is complete, Quadrant displays a summary of the test results. Examine the yellow bar on the chart displayed to see the performance of your phone in comparison with other Android phone models.
