How to Repair the Android Market Application
1. Press and hold the 'Power' button on your Android device. A Phone options menu will appear on the screen. Touch 'Reboot' to power the device off and on.
2. Test the Android Market application when the phone comes back on.
3. Open the Talk application in the application screen if the app is still having issues.
4. Press the 'Menu' button on the phone's main screen and touch 'Settings.'
5. Tap 'Applications' and select 'Manage applications.
6. Touch the 'All' tab and tap 'Market.' Touch 'Clear data' and 'Clear cache.' Repeat this process for Download Manager, IM, Google Apps, Google Mail and Google Talk.
7. Repeat Steps 1 and 2. If the Android Market is still having issues, you will need to do a factory reset. This reset will delete everything on the phone and reload the operating system from scratch. Emails and contacts synced to your Gmail account are automatically restored when you reactivate the phone. Back up any other data you want to save by moving it to a memory card or a computer.
8. Press the 'Menu' button on the main screen and touch 'Settings.'
9. Tap 'Privacy settings' and touch 'Factory data reset.'
