How to Tether With Android 2.1

1. Download PdaNet. This application offers you the ability to tether your Android 2.1 device using either a USB connection or Bluetooth. In addition, PdaNet also bundles an application that lets you send and receive your phone's SMS messages on your PC.

2. Install Barnacle Wi-Fi Tether. This app lets you create a free wireless hotspot that your PC and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices can connect to. If you have more than one user who needs Internet access, you'll want to use a Wi-Fi tethering app over a USB-tethering app like PdaNet.

3. Tether using Wi-Fi Tethering. This application also helps you create a Wi-Fi hotspot using the Wi-Fi radio on your Android smartphone. Other users can locate and connect to the hotspot, just as they would with a public or private home hotspot.
