How to Set up Push Notifications for an Android Facebook App

1. Touch “Menu” on your Android phone from the standby screen.

2. Tap “Facebook” to launch the app. If you are not logged into your account, enter your account information. Your News Feed is displayed when the app is opened.

3. Touch “News Feed” in the top menu. Press “Menu” on your phone.

4. Tap “Settings,” then touch “Notifications.” The box at the end of the field should be checked now.

5. Touch the notifications you want to have pushed to your Android phone. Available notifications include new messages, friend requests and event invites.

6. Tap “Notification Ringtone,” and touch the tone you want to use for your Facebook notifications. Tap “OK” to save the sound.

7. Press “Home” to exit to the standby screen.
