How to Show a Summary in Android Gmail

1. Open the Gmail application on your Android phone.

2. Tap on the email thread you'd like to see a conversation summary for.

3. Tap on the '# Read Messages' label directly above the latest email in the conversation (the # sign represents the number of previous emails in the thread). You are shown a summary of the entire email thread with snippets of text from each email. You can read an entire email from the thread by tapping on it.
