How to Install Android 2.2 on the Motorola Backflip

1. Connect your Motorola Backflip to the AC charger for the device. Charging your Backflip while updating the phone prevents the phone’s battery from dying and corrupting the installation. If you cannot connect the Backflip to a charger, fully charge the battery before updating.

2. Press the “Menu” button on the bottom of the Backflip’s screen.

3. Tap the “Settings” icon.

4. Scroll down the 'Settings' screen that appears and tap the “About Phone” option.

5. Scroll to and tap the “System Updates” option to find the Android 2.2 Froyo update.

6. Tap “Download and Install” to install Android 2.2 Froyo.
