How to Reset an HTC G2

Soft Reset

1. Save all open files.

2. Press and hold the 'Power' key at the top of the phone.

3. Tap 'Power Off.' The phone turns off.

4. Press the 'Power' key to turn the G2 back on.

Factory Reset

5. Press the 'Menu' key from the G2's home screen.

6. Tap 'Settings' and then slide the menu upward.

7. Tap 'Privacy' and 'Back Up My Data & Settings.'

8. Select the check box for 'Back Up My Data & Settings' and then tap the 'Back' button.

9. Tap 'Factory Data Reset' and then tap 'Reset Phone' Tap 'Erase Everything' to reset the G2 to the factory defaults.
