How to Use Pokemon Saved Game Files on VBA

1. Navigate to the VBA website (see Resources) and download the latest version of Visual Boy Advance. Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file, and then double-click the executable file to run the program.

2. Click 'File' then 'Open,' and select the Pokémon game in your collection you want to use the save game on.

3. Download the Pokémon save game file you want to use on VBA. You can download these from sites like Gamefaqs or Gameshark (see Resources). The save file should end in the extension 'SPS' and can be placed anywhere on your computer, but for ease of use put it in the same folder as VBA.

4. In VBA click 'File,' 'Import' then 'Gameshark Snapshot.' A new window will open asking for the location of the save game file.

5. Navigate to the folder in which you downloaded the save, select it and press 'Open.' A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm this action. Importing a save game erases any old saves of the game and restarts the emulator. If you are fine with this, press 'OK' to continue.

6. Wait for the game to restart, and then select 'Continue' from the main menu. The VBA emulator will now use the Pokémon save game file.
