How to Protect Lock Apps on an Android

1. Tap on the Web browser icon on your Android phone to open the application. Type 'market.android.com' into the search box, then tap the magnifying glass icon. Click on the 'Gmail' link near the top of the page. Log in to your account.

2. Type the keywords 'app protector' in the search text box and then tap the magnifying glass icon.

3. Scroll down the list and select an application such as 'Protector,' 'App Protector' or 'Perfect App Protector.' Tap the 'Install' button to download the application. If the app that you prefer requires you to purchase it, tap the 'Buy' button and follow the on-screen instructions. You'll need to have your credit card information available when making purchases from the Android Market.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions for installing the app protector application. Locate the app protector icon on your phone and tap it to launch the application.

5. Use the app protector application features to help you protect and lock the applications on your phone. For instance, if you're using the application 'App Protector,' enable the password feature for the applications that you want to lock.

6. Type a new password in the 'Password' text box, if you want to change the app protector's default password. Tap the 'Enter' button. Tap on the 'Settings' button and follow the on-screen instructions for customizing each option.

7. Select the applications that you want the app protector to protect and lock. Tap the checkbox next to each application that's shown under the 'Protection List.' Click the 'Done' button when you're finished.
