How to Tether an Android to a Router
1. Unlock your Android device, then press the 'Home' button. Press the 'Menu' button, and touch 'Settings.' Tap 'Wireless & Networks,' then tap 'Tethering & Portable Hotspot.'
2. Tap the check box next to 'Portable Hotspot.' Press the 'Back' button, and touch 'Portable Hotspot Settings,' then 'Configure Wi-Fi Hotspot.' Type in a name for the network in the 'SSID' field. Select 'WPA2 PSK' security, then create a password for your network. Press 'Save.'
3. Type in the IP address for your wireless router into your computer's Web browser. Find the 'Repeater Bridge' setting and set the router to act as a repeater. Enter the network name, wireless security type and password from your Android device. Apply the settings, and reboot your router.
