How to Block an SMS on Android 2.3

1. Navigate to the Android Marketplace on your Android phone. Hit the magnifying glass to bring up the search window and type “Block SMS.”

2. Tap the words “Block SMS Messages” on the results screen to bring up a list of call blocker apps. Select and install one of the apps on the list. Some of the apps are free and some have a small fee.

3. Launch and configure the SMS blocker per the instructions on the software. The software should allow you to designate how you wish to block SMS calls, whether setting up a blacklist, blocking SMS from certain numbers but allowing phone calls or blocking both SMS and calls from specific numbers.
