How to Set Up Android VNC

1. Select the menu icon for Android VNC Viewer to launch it. If this is the first time you have used this app, the configuration screen is the first thing you see.

2. Click the drop-down menu next to 'Connection,' and select 'New.'

3. Enter a nickname for your configuration in the 'Nickname' field.

4. Enter the password for your VNC server, if it requires one, in the 'Password' field.

5. Enter the IP address for the computer you wish to control in the 'Address' field. If you are using a router, enter the WAN address for your router.

6. Enter the port number of your VNC server in the 'Port' field.

7. Click the drop-down menu next to 'Color Format,' and select which color format you wish to use. Sometimes setting this too high will give you trouble when you're connecting, because the little Android device has to process a big, monitor-sized image. Try lowering this setting if you experience trouble connecting.

8. Check 'Local Mouse Pointer' if you wish to use a mouse pointer on your Android device. This can make pointing and clicking much easier, as the mouse pointer on the computer you are controlling will not be displayed.

9. Scroll back to the top of the app, and click 'Connect' to connect to the VNC server with the settings you have specified.
